I followed the instructions and applied two coats to my Michelin tires. The operative word for this product is "Black" not "Shiny" It produced a matte black finish similar to the way a tire looks when it's new. It does not provide the shiny "wet look" you get from sprays, etc. The product does not promise a shiny finish and makes your tires deep black again - nothing more, nothing less.
I used the Tire Gel on the spoiler on my 1999 Saab 9-3. It worked fantastic. I would highly recommend this product!!
This product does not work as well as they claim. It worked okay on the trim along the bottom of the doors and along the bumper, but only with three coats. The applicator leaks everywhere and the product will get all over the paint. The reconditioner worked horribly on the door handles. It was splotchy and very difficult to apply. It took at least ten heavy coats to get it to look half decent. I wish I would have never started using it because the handles will never look the same. Don't waste...
